Yogyakarta-Solo Toll Road Prambanan-Purwomartani Segment Opens Free During Eid Holiday
The Merapah Trans-Jawa 2026 team’s journey continued with a visit to the Yogyakarta-Solo toll road section between Prambanan and Purwomartani in Klaten.
The Merapah 2026 programme has received full support from the Indonesian Toll Road Association (ATI), PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Honda Prospect Motor (APM), ASTRA Infra, PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada Tbk, and Waskita Toll Road.
During this year’s Eid holiday exodus, PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo will operate the functional lane of the Yogyakarta-Solo toll road between Prambanan and Purwomartani throughout the 2026 Eid travel period. The lane will be opened free of charge to facilitate smooth vehicle flow.
“This functional lane is not subject to tolls, so we are providing it free of charge because it is still operational and not yet fully operational, so we are providing it for free,” Yhanni told the Merapah team at the Prambanan Toll Gate in Klaten, Central Java on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
She added that the lane remains in the construction phase and road users are advised to exercise caution while using it. Additionally, holiday travellers are urged to ensure their vehicles are in good condition and that they have sufficient credit on their electronic toll payment cards before entering the toll road.
“For using the functional lane, we remind road users because it is actually still in the construction phase. So we hope for an average speed of 40 kilometres per hour,” she stated.
Yhanni explained that the functional lane of the Prambanan-Purwomartani toll road will be operated on a limited basis during the Eid holiday period.
“We will begin operations from 16 to 29 March 2026, from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm. This will also depend on the discretion of the Police for operating the functional lane,” she said.
According to her, the opening of the lane will be continuously coordinated with the Police, taking into account traffic congestion conditions.
In addition to opening the functional lane, PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo is also preparing a functional rest area to support traveller comfort. The rest area is located at kilometre 19 on the Kartasura-Prambanan section and is equipped with supporting facilities.
