The Yogyakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati DIY) has opened the possibility of naming additional suspects in the investigation into the alleged corruption of village treasury land (TKD) in Condongcatur, Depok, Sleman. The investigation is ongoing. Head of the Legal Information Section at Kejati DIY, Langgeng Prabowo, stated that the process is still underway. Currently, two suspects have been named: former Condongcatur Village Chief Reno Candra Sangaji and a former village security officer with the initial K. “The investigation is still ongoing. If there are other parties with strong evidence, they will be followed up,” Langgeng said via text message on Wednesday (1/7/2026). He added that investigators may also examine other individuals as witnesses if needed to strengthen the case’s evidence. Previously, former Condongcatur Village Chief Reno Candra Sangaji was named a suspect for the alleged misuse of village treasury land on plot 88 in Pringwulung, Condongcatur, Depok, Sleman. The determination was based on two pieces of evidence. The suspects, as village officials, were responsible for safeguarding the land but instead allowed it to be leased to other parties without permission from the Governor of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X. Their actions violated Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2017 on the Management and Utilisation of Sultanate and Duchy Land and Governor Regulation No. 34 of 2017 on the Utilisation of Village Treasury Land. The alleged corruption resulted in state losses of Rp4,224,342,510. Suspect K has been detained at the Class IIA Yogyakarta prison for 20 days, while suspect RCS was not detained as he is already in custody for another case.
