Yogyakarta Customs Authority continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the region. One such initiative was realised through the awarding of the KITE IKM (Ease of Import for Export Purposes for Small and Medium Enterprises) facility to CV Cahaya Insani on Monday, 9 March 2026.

Head of Yogyakarta Customs Office, Imam Sarjono, explained that the KITE IKM facility represents a form of government support for small and medium enterprise operators to enable them to develop and compete in global markets.

“This facility provides ease for business operators, particularly small and medium enterprises, to obtain imported raw materials without being burdened by import duties and without being charged Luxury Goods Value-Added Tax (PPnBM), insofar as the production output is intended for export,” he stated in a release on Friday, 13 March 2026.

He further noted that the facility is granted to small enterprises with a maximum investment value of IDR 1 billion, net assets between IDR 50 million and IDR 500 million, or sales results between IDR 300 million and IDR 2.5 billion.

For medium enterprises, the facility is granted to businesses with investment values between IDR 1 billion and IDR 15 billion, net assets of IDR 500 million to IDR 10 billion, or sales results between IDR 2.5 billion and IDR 50 billion.

By obtaining this facility, CV Cahaya Insani is expected to make use of various conveniences available, such as simplified import and export procedures, reduced production costs, and improved working capital and improved cash flow for the company.

This is ultimately expected to enhance the competitiveness of products in the international market.
