Yogyakarta–Bawen Toll Road Section 6 Opens Functionally Free During Homecoming Season

The Road Toll Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works will operationalise the Yogyakarta–Bawen toll road Section 6 functionally and free of charge for Class I vehicles (non-buses) from 13–30 March 2026 to facilitate smooth Eid homecoming and return traffic.

Section 6 of the toll road spans 4.98 kilometres in Semarang Regency, Central Java, and forms part of the National Strategic Project (PSN). The operational readiness of the toll road was demonstrated through aerial photographs showing construction completion, including the Ambarawa toll gate facility in Bawen, Semarang Regency, as of 10 March 2026.
