Yogyakarta Among Top 10 Provinces with Most LPDP Scholarship Recipients for 2026

The Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) has released the list of provinces with the highest number of LPDP Scholarship recipients for the first phase of 2026. The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) is among them. A total of 2,753 recipients were awarded the LPDP scholarship in the first phase of 2026. This information was conveyed during the Opening of the Second Phase of the 2026 LPDP Scholarship at the Djuanda I Building, Ministry of Finance Office, Jakarta, on Monday (29/6). DIY ranks sixth among the top 10 provinces. First place was secured by West Java Province with a total of 414 awardees, followed by DKI Jakarta with 325 awardees, narrowly ahead of East Java with 324 recipients. The complete list of the top 10 provinces is as follows: 1. West Java: 414 recipients, 2. DKI Jakarta: 325 recipients, 3. East Java: 324 recipients, 4. Central Java: 272 recipients, 5. Banten: 139 recipients, 6. DI Yogyakarta: 131 recipients, 7. East Nusa Tenggara: 129 recipients, 8. North Sumatra: 92 recipients, 9. South Sulawesi: 88 recipients, 10. West Sumatra: 73 recipients. Following the first phase, LPDP reopened registration for the second phase of the scholarship on Tuesday (30/6). Registration can be completed online. Applicants have approximately one month to register, after which the submitted documents will undergo an administrative selection process. The schedule for the Second Phase LPDP Scholarship registration is as follows: Registration: 30 June - 31 July 2026; Administrative selection: 3-27 August 2026; Announcement of administrative selection results: 28 August 2026; Appeal submission: 29 August - 1 September 2026; Announcement of appeal results: 22 September 2026; Scholastic aptitude selection: 27 September - 4 October 2026; Substance selection: 14 October - 20 November 2026; Announcement of substance selection results: 30 November 2026; Lecture period: January 2027.
