YLBHI opens legal training

JAKARTA (JP): The Jakarta Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI) has opened registration for its annual program for law graduates and students to follow legal aid training at its office.

The program will take place at its office on Jl. Diponegoro 74, Central Jakarta from March 4 to April 8.

Prospective participants, which must go through a selection process, are required to have at least 130 credit units and must not be more than 26 years old.

Interested candidates can register at the foundation's office from Jan. 20 to Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Candidates who pass the selection should contribute Rp 200,000 (US$85.10) to the foundation.

Among speakers to address the program are the foundation's staff, judges, prosecutors, police officers and government officials. Lecturers, researchers, non-governmental organization activists, advocates and senior lawyers will also address the trainees. (ste)
