The Chairman of the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI), M. Isnur, was questioned by the Metro Jaya Regional Police on Tuesday (9/6) regarding the reported acid attack against the Vice Coordinator of KontraS, Andrie Yunus. Isnur was interrogated in his capacity as a witness following a report filed by the Advocacy Team for Democracy (TAUD). The report was originally submitted to the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) before being transferred to the Metro Jaya Regional Police.
Dimas Bagus Arya, the Coordinator of KontraS, confirmed at the Metro Jaya Regional Police that the agenda for the morning involved the examination and clarification of information from Muhammad Isnur. During the session, Isnur stated that he would present the results of investigations conducted by TAUD regarding the acid splashing incident. He noted that his team has been meticulously tracing data, including reviewing CCTV footage, to uncover the perpetrators.
Furthermore, Isnur urged the Metro Jaya Regional Police and the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation to escalate the case to the investigation stage and apprehend all involved parties to ensure justice for Andrie Yunus. The case was initially reported by Gema Gita Persada, legal counsel for Andrie Yunus, under report number LP/B/136/IV/2026/SPKT/Bareskrim Polri on Wednesday (8/4). Bareskrim Polri transferred the report to the Metro Jaya Regional Police to ensure investigative effectiveness, as the location and timing of the incident overlap with previous investigations by the regional police.
In a separate development, four members of the TNI Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) Headquarters Detachment have been charged with 2 years and 6 months in prison for their involvement in the acid attack. The defendants, identified as Sergeant Edi Sudarko, Lieutenant Budhi Hariyanto Widhi, Captain Nandala Dwi Prasetyo, and Lieutenant Sami Lakka, faced sentencing demands from the Military Prosecutor at the Jakarta Military Court II-08 on Wednesday (3/6).
