YOGYAKARTA – Twenty-six flight groups (kloter) of Hajj pilgrims are scheduled to depart for the Holy Land via Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA), with the first departure on 21 April 2026 at 23:40 WIB. The Acting Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for DIY, Jauhar Mustofa, stated that the initial schedule, originally set for the morning of 22 April, has been adjusted to align with updates from the airline. “Twenty-six kloter for the inaugural departure on 21 April at 23:40. Each kloter carries 360 pilgrims in one group. We are using Garuda Airbus A330, which has a capacity of 360,” he said on Wednesday (15/4/2026). Jauhar explained that all Hajj pilgrim flights from YIA embarkation will be serviced by Garuda Indonesia airline. Out of the total 26 kloter, 10.5 kloter consist of prospective Hajj pilgrims from the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). Meanwhile, one other kloter is a combination of pilgrims from DIY and Central Java. “For DIY, there are 10 and a half, 10 full kloter and one combined between DIY and Central Java.
