- Commander of Joint Regional Defence Command III: Abdon Kisamdu admits to purchasing weapons in Yahukimo
The Commander of the Joint Regional Defence Command III, Lieutenant General TNI Lucky Avianto, stated that based on the interrogation of the Deputy Commander of TPNPB-OPM Kodap 35 Bintang Timur, Abdon Kisamdu, the individual admitted to plans to purchase weapons in Yahukimo Regency, Highland Papua.
In a statement received in Timika on Monday (21/9), Lucky Avianto noted that Abdon Kislar admitted to having transferred funds on three occasions to an individual with the initials BA in Yahukimo to purchase firearms.
“In accordance with the agreement with BA, Abdon Kisamdu was to receive the firearms at the Dekai District river, Yahukimo. The perpetrator admitted this was his first time purchasing firearms in Yahukimo, which is not an operational area for the TPNPB-OPM group he leads,” he said.
- PDIP follows up on WALHI complaints regarding Sumatra disaster recovery
The PDIP Faction of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) has guaranteed that complaints from the Indonesian Forum for the Environment (WALHI) and several residents, including issues regarding post-disaster recovery in Sumatra, will be forwarded to the relevant commissions to be presented to the relevant ministries and agencies.
WALHI, along with residents from various regions, presented their aspirations to the DPR RI on Monday. During this presentation, several commission leaders from the PDIP Faction were present to hear the grievances directly.
“Everything presented will be followed up according to the respective partners of each commission,” said the Secretary of the PDIP Faction DPR RI, Dolfie Othniel Frederic, at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Monday.

The government is prioritising job security in the placement process of managers for the Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP) and Red and White Fishing Villages (KNMP), ensuring the process does not merely chase speed.
The Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom), Muhammad Qodari, stated that ensuring a stable working system is a vital foundation so that managers can perform their duties optimally from day one.
“The placement process for managers is being conducted in a measurable manner. The government is not only pursuing rapid placement but is also ensuring that managers enter a clear working system and have certainty in performing their duties,” said Qodari in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.
- DPR and government agree on agrarian conflict solutions in meeting led by Dasco
The DPR RI and the government have agreed to resolve long-standing agrarian conflicts and restore land rights and address land ownership inequality through the Bill on the Regulation of Agrarian Reform.
The DPR and the government have formulated several resolution mechanisms within the Bill, which were brought for decision-making in a meeting led by the Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Monday.
The Chairperson of the Working Group for the Agrarian Reform Regulation Bill, Ahmad Iman Sukri, explained that the government has submitted 596 items from the List of Problem Inventories (DIM) to be discussed with the DPR.
