- Attorney General’s Office Files Cassation Appeal Against Acquittal of Delpedro and Associates
The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has filed a cassation appeal against the acquittal of Lokataru Foundation Executive Director Delpedro Marhaen and associates in connection with an alleged incitement case during the August 2025 protests that turned violent.
“Indeed, the public prosecutor has filed a cassation appeal,” said Head of the Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum) of Kejagung Anang Supriatna when confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta on Tuesday.
- Coordinating Minister Yusril Submits Cassation Decision on Delpedro Case to Supreme Court
Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Correctional Services Yusril Ihza Mahendra has submitted the cassation decision on the case of Lokataru Foundation Executive Director Delpedro Marhaen and associates to the Supreme Court (MA).
He respects the further legal step in the form of a cassation appeal taken by law enforcement authorities in the Delpedro case related to the alleged incitement during the August 2025 protests that turned violent.
- Police Uncover 665 Cases of Subsidised Fuel and LPG Misuse in 2025-2026
The Directorate of Specific Economic Crimes (Dittipidter) of National Police Criminal Investigation Agency has successfully uncovered 665 cases of alleged misuse of subsidised fuel (BBM) and LPG during 2025-2026.
“We, together with regional police commands, have conducted intensive law enforcement efforts and successfully uncovered cases of subsidised BBM and LPG misuse,” said Director of Specific Crimes (Dirtipidter) of National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Pol. Moh. Irhamni during a press conference at Bhayangkara Field, National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, on Tuesday.
- KPK to Study Constitutional Court Ruling on State Loss Calculations by Audit Agency
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), through its Legal Bureau, will study the application of the Constitutional Court decision regarding the stipulation that only the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) is authorised to calculate state losses in handling cases at the anti-corruption agency.
KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the step is to ensure that the legal process for alleged corruption crimes handled by the KPK does not open formal or material loopholes.
- BNN Proposes Banning Vapes in Narcotics and Psychotropics Bill
Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Suyudi Ario Seto has proposed banning electronic cigarettes or vapes with their liquids to be regulated in the Draft Law (RUU) on Narcotics and Psychotropics.
He stated that Indonesia is now facing the phenomenon of massive circulation of narcotic substances in vape form. Countries in the ASEAN region such as Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, and Laos, according to him, have already taken steps to ban the circulation of vapes.
