The Minister of Forestry, Raja Juli Antoni, stated that the Ministry of Forestry has frozen the business permits of 26 companies related to forest and land fires (karhutla). Raja Juli explained that the freezing of these permits is part of law enforcement by the Directorate General of Forestry Law Enforcement (Gakkum Kehutanan), taking the form of administrative sanctions that may be accompanied by mandatory environmental restoration and may proceed to criminal prosecution if indications of criminal activity are found.
National Food Agency: 25 brands of fortified rice cease production and are being recalled
The National Food Agency (Bapanas) stated that 25 brands of fortified rice suspected of failing to meet standards have ceased production, and all products are currently being withdrawn from circulation to protect consumers. “This is fraud. It causes hardship for our consumers, as the government’s goal is for consumers to enjoy good rice prices,” said the Head of Bapanas, Andi Amran Sulaiman, in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The Director General of Vocational Training and Productivity (Binalavotas) at Kemnaker, Darmawansyah, stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that the announcement of participants is scheduled for 18 September 2026, while the internship phase is set to begin on 21 September 2026.
