Jakarta (ANTARA) - A number of economic developments that occurred throughout Wednesday (18 February) remain noteworthy and relevant for review on Thursday morning.

These range from the construction of Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (Kopdes) reaching 1,000 units to the reasons behind the restoration of Persero status to PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk (ANTM) and PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA).

**Cooperatives Minister: 1,000 Merah Putih Village Cooperatives completed**

Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono reported that the construction of Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (Kopdes) has reached 1,000 completed units out of a target of 80,000.

Speaking at a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday, Ferry said that as of February 2026 nearly 20,000 Kopdes Merah Putih units are under construction, with average physical progress reaching 20 per cent.

**Purbaya considers Indonesia's 40 per cent debt ratio still safe**

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa assured that the Indonesian government's debt position remains within safe limits despite the rising nominal figure.

As of 31 December 2025, total government debt stood at Rp9,637.90 trillion, equivalent to 40.46 per cent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

**Agriculture Ministry targets 200,000-head cattle investment in Central Kalimantan**

The Ministry of Agriculture is targeting large-scale cattle farming investment in Central Kalimantan with a population of up to 200,000 head, to be developed within an integrated business ecosystem to strengthen national meat supply on a sustainable basis.

"This step is part of the national strategy to accelerate meat and dairy self-sufficiency whilst building modern livestock centres based on partnerships," said Agriculture Minister and Head of the National Food Agency Andi Amran Sulaiman in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

**Transport Minister says 255 vessels prepared for Lebaran transport**

Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi said 255 vessels have been prepared to support smooth Lebaran 2026 transport operations, ensuring the safety, comfort and smooth mobility of passengers across national ferry crossings.

"Regarding national ferry transport readiness, the Ministry of Transport has prepared 255 vessels with a carrying capacity of 6.15 million passengers and 770,000 vehicles across 15 ferry crossings," the Minister said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

**Danantara reveals reasons for restoring Persero status to Antam and PTBA**

The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara Indonesia) disclosed the reasons for restoring Persero (State-Owned Limited Liability Company) status to PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk (ANTM) and PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA).

Danantara Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria explained that the measure was taken in accordance with the provisions of Law Number 16 of 2025, namely the adjustment of special rights attached to Series A Dwiwarna Shares in state-owned enterprises held by the SOE Regulatory Body (BP BUMN).
