Non-Subsidised Fuel Price Hike, Celios Reminds of Subsidised Fuel Monitoring
Executive Director of the Center of Economic and Law Studies (Celios) Bhima Yudhistira Adhinegara stated that it is important for the government to monitor subsidised fuel oil (BBM) purchases amid the rise in non-subsidised BBM prices.
Bhima, when contacted in Jakarta on Sunday, assessed that the non-subsidised BBM price increase is reasonable given the rising market prices and Indonesian Crude Price (ICP).
KAI Activates Stations in Batang and Pemalang for Stops
PT KAI (Persero) has reactivated operations at Plabuan Station in Batang Regency and Comal Station in Pemalang Regency, Central Java, to serve passenger stops for both departures and arrivals.

PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) stated that two of their ships, Pertamina Pride and Gamsunoro, are currently in the Arabian Gulf and have not yet been able to cross the Strait of Hormuz.

Indonesia to Stop Diesel Imports Starting 1 July, Implementing B50
Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia (Mentan RI) Andi Amran Sulaiman stated that Indonesia will halt diesel imports starting 1 July 2026 alongside the implementation of 50% biodiesel (B50) based on palm oil.
“We will no longer import diesel. In 2026, on 1 July, we stop, B50 comes in,” said Amran at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) in Surabaya on Sunday.
This step, according to him, is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen national energy independence by utilising palm oil commodities as an alternative fuel.
