- Kopassus: Report of slapping by Kopassus Commander is a hoax
The Army Special Forces Command (Kopassus) of the Indonesian National Army denied a social media post regarding a slapping incident allegedly carried out by Kopassus Commander Lieutenant General Djon Afriandi against someone at the State Palace.
“In fact, this is merely a fabrication without valid evidence; this information was deliberately spread to create unrest and divide the internal solidarity of state institutions,” as quoted in the video statement.
- Reviewing MBG in Mimika, Gibran finds students skipping breakfast before school
Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka discovered that several students at SMAN 4 Mimika did not have breakfast at home before going to school.
While reviewing the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at SMAN 4 Mimika, Central Papua, on Tuesday (21 April), Gibran found that the students consumed the MBG earlier, starting at 09:30 local time, because many students had not eaten breakfast before school.
- Government urged to evaluate TNI assignments in conflict areas
House of Representatives Speaker Puan Maharani has called on the government to evaluate the assignment of TNI personnel in conflict zones, following the deaths of three Indonesian peacekeepers in Lebanon due to an Israeli attack.
She added that the evaluation should encompass the clarity of the mission, mandate, operational readiness, and maximum protection for personnel.

Deputy House Speaker and Gerindra Party Deputy Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad stated that there has never been any discussion regarding a merger or unification between the Gerindra Party and the NasDem Party, as per the circulating rumours.
He expressed confusion over the developing issue and questioned its source.
- DPR approves Domestic Workers Protection Bill to be enacted as law
The 17th Plenary Session of the DPR for the IV Session Period of 2025–2026 approved the Domestic Workers Protection Bill (RUU PPRT) to be enacted as law.
“Does the House approve the enactment of the Domestic Workers Protection Bill as law?” said DPR Speaker Puan Maharani in Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday (21 April), which was answered “agreed” by the session participants.
