Finance Minister Purbaya targets Panda Bond issuance next month
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa targets the plan to issue global bonds denominated in yuan, or Panda Bonds, to be realised in June 2026.
He said he has received a report from the Director General of Risk Management and Financing of the Ministry of Finance, Suminto, to immediately depart for China.
Ministry of Trade releases inaugural yogurt export to Vietnam worth Rp1.13 billion
The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) through the Directorate General of National Export Development (PEN) released the inaugural export of yogurt products to Vietnam worth 65,000 US dollars or equivalent to Rp1.13 billion from PT Cisarua Mountain Dairy Tbk in Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday.
Director General of PEN Fajarini Puntodewi stated that this achievement proves the quality of Indonesian dairy products can meet international standards and follow market tastes.
Ministry of Manpower prepares skilled workforce for “green jobs” sector including EV
Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Afriansyah Noor said the government is striving to prepare competent workers to fill the needs of the green industry (green jobs) in Indonesia, following the rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) market in recent years.
The Deputy Minister, in his statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, assessed that the transformation towards a green economy is no longer a choice but a necessity, with the EV sector’s momentum becoming an important pillar in the ecosystem of future green economy jobs.
President Prabowo said to discuss food and energy issues at ASEAN Summit
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia stated that President Prabowo Subianto will discuss food and energy issues at the 2026 ASEAN Summit to be held in the Philippines.
“Tomorrow, insyaallah, the President will attend the ASEAN Summit in the Philippines, the host is indeed the Philippines. There are two issues, the first is the food issue, the second is energy,” said Bahlil when met at the Ministry of ESDM Office, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
Rupiah strengthens as US-Iran conflict eases slightly
The rupiah exchange rate on Wednesday morning moved stronger by 34 points or 0.20 percent to Rp17,390 per US dollar, the same as the previous close at Rp17,424 per US dollar.
Analyst at Bank Woori Saudara, Rully Nova, said the rupiah’s strengthening was influenced by US President Donald Trump’s statement that the intensity of attacks on Iran would be reduced.
