Commission XI of the DPR Asks for Multi-Layered Mitigation to Prevent Imported Inflation
Chairman of Commission XI of the DPR RI, Mukhamad Misbakhun, asked fiscal and monetary authorities to immediately strengthen mitigation measures following the pressure on the rupiah exchange rate in recent times.
He reminded that the weakening of the exchange rate needs to be anticipated seriously so that it does not transmit into imported inflation which can reduce people’s purchasing power.
“If the weakening of the rupiah is not mitigated quickly, the impact can be immediately felt on production costs, the price of imported goods, to the price of basic necessities,” said Misbakhun in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday.

DPR Member: Sending TNI to Lebanon Must Be Supported by Adequate Intelligence
Member of Commission I of the DPR RI, Amelia Anggraini, said that the deployment of TNI soldiers to Lebanon to carry out missions in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), must be supported by adequate intelligence information to minimize the risk of safety.
She said that the deployment of TNI soldiers to the UNIFIL mission was part of Indonesia’s commitment to maintaining world peace. Therefore, there should be no more TNI soldiers who died as happened some time ago.
“We at Commission I of the DPR RI support the government’s efforts, especially the Ministry of Defense and the TNI, to be involved in peacekeeping missions carried out by the UN,” said Amelia in Jakarta, Friday.

ASN of the Reserve Component Undergo Combat Simulation Training
Students of the Reserve Component (Komcad) consisting of civil servants (ASN) from ministries, underwent combat simulation training in the Basic Combat Techniques Field Practice material, Thursday (15/5).

DPR Targets Completion of the Labour Bill in 2026 in Accordance with the Constitutional Court’s Decision
Deputy Chairman of Commission IX of the DPR RI, Nihayatul Wafiroh, said that her commission targeted the discussion of the Draft Law on Labour to be completed before October 2026 or in accordance with the mandate of Constitutional Court Decision Number 168/PUU-XXI/2023.
“Yes, it must be completed before October, because the maximum is October according to the Constitutional Court,” said Ninik, her nickname, in Jakarta, Friday.
In addition, she said that the Labour Bill was targeted to be completed in 2026 to support the commitment of President Prabowo Subianto to labor elements on May 1, 2026, or on the commemoration of International Labor Day.
