Yesterday: Free Nutritious Meals create work ecosystem to gadget restrictions
Tenaga Ahli Kepala Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN), Karimah Muhammad, stated that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme has created a new work ecosystem reaching all corners of the country. “MBG is not merely a lunch programme, but a work ecosystem with 28,390 Nutritional Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG), involving more than 1.1 million food handlers, drivers, cleaners, security personnel, and field workers, all of whom depend on the sustainability of the SPPG for their income,” she said in a confirmed official statement.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has again reminded the public to verify the Qibla direction in conjunction with the Rashdul Qiblat phenomenon, when the sun is directly above the Kaaba on 15 and 16 July 2026. “We want the public to understand that determining the Qibla direction does not have to be complicated. Through the Rashdul Kiblat phenomenon, anyone can perform verification easily, practically, and accurately by utilising the sun’s position,” said Ismail Fahmi, Head of the Sub-directorate for Hisab Rukyat and Sharia at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Dudung Abdurachman, said the government wants to ensure children receive education services and nutritional fulfilment from the first day they return to school. The circular assesses that inappropriate use of gadgets within the school environment can potentially reduce learning concentration, lower the quality of interaction among students, and increase the risk of digital technology misuse, which can impact students’ physical and mental health.
