Yesterday: Febrie Files for Pretrial as Prosecutor Status Suspended
Various legal developments were reported on Tuesday, including former junior attorney general for special crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah’s plan to file a pretrial motion and the Attorney General’s decision to temporarily suspend his prosecutor status. Attorney General ST Burhanuddin has temporarily suspended the prosecutor status of Febrie Adriansyah, who has been named a suspect in an alleged money laundering case. Separately, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has detained three suspects in a corruption case related to the digitalisation of PT Pertamina (Persero) fuel stations between 2018 and 2023. The acting director of investigations at the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, identified the three suspects as DR, WER, and EL. The KPK stated that the alleged corruption in the fuel station digitalisation project caused state losses amounting to Rp322.18 billion, based on calculations by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). In Papua, the Yonif 511/DY security task force evacuated two survivors of an attack by an armed criminal group (KKB) near Kanggime District, Tolikara Regency. The attack on Sunday evening resulted in the deaths of four people: Arman Sibarani, Erlin Aritonang, Barengga, and Alfons. The Attorney General’s Office responded to the pretrial motion to be filed by Febrie Adriansyah, with the head of the office’s legal information centre, Anang Supriatna, stating that filing a pretrial motion is the right of the suspect and their legal counsel.
