Jakarta (ANTARA) - Various economic events were reported by ANTARA News Agency on Wednesday, ranging from the target release of digital social protection to the relaxation of coal production quotas.
- Luhut targets digital Perlinsos release for October or November 2026
Chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan is targeting the digitalisation system for Social Protection (Perlinsos) to be launched in October or November 2026. “Later in October or November, the President (Prabowo Subianto) will launch it nationally across 541 districts. We hope it can be in place at around 80-90 percent,” Luhut said during a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Head of the National Food Agency Andi Amran Sulaiman affirmed that the Cheap Food Movement (GPM) will continue to be intensified with regional governments even though rice inflation has been kept under control for the past two years, as an effort to maintain food price stability across Indonesia. “We are grateful that rice has not been a major contributor to inflation for the last two years. I would like to thank the Minister of Home Affairs (Tito Karnavian) for his support all this time,” Amran said during an inflation control meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday.
- BRI confirms no additional collateral required for KUR loans up to Rp100 million
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has confirmed that applications for People’s Business Credit (KUR) with a ceiling of up to Rp100 million do not require additional collateral, as stipulated by government regulations. BRI Department Head of Product Antonius Bangun Prasetyo stated that the company has implemented this provision in its KUR distribution and prohibits any request for or acceptance of additional collateral or physical guarantees for loans up to Rp100 million.
- Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources grants coal production quota above 600 million tonnes
Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Yuliot confirmed that the government will provide a coal production quota exceeding 600 million tonnes as a relaxation policy amidst soaring coal prices. “Certainly (above 600 million tonnes). It will be adjusted to domestic needs,” Yuliot said when met at the ESDM Ministry office in Jakarta on Wednesday.
