PIHPS records cayenne pepper price breaking through Rp131,000 per kg ahead of Eid
The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia, recorded the price of the red cayenne pepper commodity breaking through Rp131,000 per kilogram (kg), while broiler chicken meat stood at Rp50,200 per kg.
Based on data from PIHPS reported in Jakarta on Friday at 09:35 WIB, besides broiler chicken and red cayenne pepper, other national retail trader-level food prices were recorded as shallots at Rp68,400 per kg and garlic at Rp57,900 per kg.
Peak Eid return flow predicted for 24 March
The peak return flow during the 2026 Eid period or Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah is predicted to occur on 24 March 2026.
“Our prediction for the return flow is on 24 March,” said PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk President Director Rivan A. Purwantono at the Jasa Marga Management Training Centre building, Jalan Akses Tol Jatiasih, Bekasi, West Java, on Friday.
PT Marga Mandalasakti (MMS), the operator of the Tangerang-Merak Toll (Tamer), stated that the traffic volume passing through the Tangerang-Merak Toll (Tamer) route during the outbound Eid period from H-9 to H-2 of Eid 2026/Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah reached 1,324,710 vehicles.
“The total traffic flow passing through the Tangerang-Merak toll road cumulatively amounted to 1,324,710 vehicles,” said Head of the CSR and Public Relations Management Department of Astra Toll Tangerang-Merak PT MMS, Uswatun Hasanah, in Tangerang, Banten, on Friday.
Eni agrees FID for deep-sea gas project in East Kalimantan
