Yemen discusses crisis developments and resolution efforts with Tunisia

Tunis (ANTARA) - Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Afrah Al-Zouba, on Monday (14/9) discussed the latest developments and efforts to resolve the ongoing crisis in her country with Tunisia’s Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti.

According to an official statement from Tunisia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the conversation between the two ministers took place by telephone and included an exchange of views on prospects for strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Nafti reiterated Tunisia’s solidarity with the Yemeni people amid the ongoing crisis, while affirming support for international and regional Arab efforts to end the violence and achieve a comprehensive and lasting political agreement to settle the conflict.

Meanwhile, Al-Zouba expressed appreciation for Tunisia’s support for Yemen and voiced readiness to strengthen coordination and consultation between the two countries regarding developments in Yemen as well as various Arab regional issues of mutual interest.

Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Tunisia-Yemen cooperation in the economic, cultural and scientific fields, as well as enhancing ties between relevant institutions.
