Yati Unworried About GERD Treatment Thanks to JKN Programme Guarantee
Manado (ANTARA) - Yati Hapsari (67), a participant in the National Health Insurance (JKN) programme at the BPJS Kesehatan branch office in Luwuk, Central Sulawesi, is not worried about undergoing repeated treatment at health facilities for her GERD condition. Her son, Budi, explained that his mother has been hospitalised several times for inpatient care due to the GERD, which causes shortness of breath and chest pain. He added that on several occasions, his mother was in a life-threatening emergency condition. Budi stated that the JKN programme has always been there for his mother during these critical moments, providing rapid and easy access to health services without any significant obstacles. “As far as I have accompanied my mother, we have not experienced any problems or barriers. The services have always been provided well, so we feel very satisfied using JKN,” Budi said. He also praised the standardisation of services, noting that even when his mother was referred to hospitals in different cities, the quality of care remained consistently good. “Apart from the hospital in the Banggai Regency, my mother has also been referred to hospitals in Palu City and Makassar City. The service we received was equally good in all aspects, from the care and medical procedures to the facilities and infrastructure,” he explained. Budi expressed his hope that the various benefits provided by the JKN programme will continue and be felt by more people, especially those with financial limitations.
