“For now, the medical examination by the doctor is still ongoing at Bhayangkara Hospital TK. I.R. Said Sukanto, East Jakarta,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Monday (23/3/2026).
Budi stated that the process of transferring from house arrest to detention centre detention has just begun today.
“Today, Monday, 23 March 2026, the KPK is carrying out the process of changing the type of detention for Suspect Mr. YCQ in the case of alleged criminal corruption in the Hajj quota, from house arrest to returning to KPK detention centre detention,” said Budi.
“We all wait for the results of this health test,” added Budi.
The KPK assures that the investigation into the alleged Hajj corruption case for the 2023-2024 period is proceeding in accordance with mechanisms and applicable laws and regulations.
Currently, investigators are continuing to complete the file so that this case can be promptly handed over to the public prosecutor.
“On this occasion, we also express our thanks to all Indonesian people who continue to monitor and support the KPK in handling this case,” Budi concluded.
“Investigators carried out the change in the type of detention for the suspect Mr. YCQ, from detention at the KPK detention centre to house arrest, since Thursday night (19/3/2026),” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Saturday (21/3/2026).
Budi said that this change in detention was carried out upon a request from the family submitted on Tuesday (17/3/2026).
“Following that request, it was then reviewed and granted with considerations in accordance with Article 108 paragraphs (1) and (11) of Law Number 20 of 2025 on the Criminal Procedure Code,” Budi continued.
It is known that Yaqut only spent about 7 days, or one week, in prison after being officially detained by the KPK since Thursday night (12/3/2026).
