Yaqut and Gus Ipul Exchange Greetings via Proxy at KPK

Yaqut himself completed his examination at 10:36 WIB and was immediately taken away in a KPK detention vehicle. Meanwhile, Gus Ipul finished his consultation around 11:06 WIB, so the two did not meet. “Greetings to Gus Ipul, yes,” said Yaqut as he was about to leave for the detention vehicle. The matter of Yaqut’s greeting was asked of Gus Ipul after a press conference regarding his consultation with the KPK on Social Affairs Ministry procurement. Gus Ipul expressed thanks for the greeting conveyed by Yaqut. “Oh yes, thank you, thank you for passing it on, thank you for the greeting, yes,” he said. Yaqut’s Detention Extension As for Yaqut himself, he was examined today and his detention was extended for 30 days. The KPK stated that Yaqut’s detention was extended because the investigation into the corruption case of the 2023-2024 Hajj quota is still ongoing. “This second detention extension, for the next 30 days. This extension is needed because the investigation is still in progress; the investigators are continuing to examine a number of witnesses,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo on Friday (8/5/2026).
