Yane Bima Arya Hopes Every Child Receives Protection and Affection

Yane Bima Arya, patron of the Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) Development Team (TP) Secretariat, has expressed her hopes on the occasion of National Children’s Day 2026. At this special moment, she hopes that every child in Indonesia receives complete affection from their parents, teachers, friends and surrounding environment.

She also hopes that every child obtains protection and a sense of security wherever they are. She conveyed this after attending the National Children’s Day commemoration at Gurindam Park, Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands, today.

“So wherever they are, they feel safe, feel comfortable and feel protected. That is what we must continue to champion — the spirit of protecting our children,” Yane said in a written statement on Thursday (23/7/2026).

According to Yane, the government and stakeholders have long had various programmes focused on children. This is also what the Posyandu TP continues to do, striving to implement the transformation of the six Minimum Service Standards (SPM) sectors so that children remain safe, protected, healthy and intelligent.

She underlined that the role of parents is crucial in supporting a child’s growth and development. Therefore, early guidance is an aspect that cannot be neglected. Moreover, with such guidance, children will develop strong character and values.

Guidance should not stop at the early developmental stage; it must continue as children enter adolescence. That period is precisely when children are searching for their identity. Optimal support will encourage children to grow into good individuals.

In that process, Yane also emphasised the importance of parents being good listeners for their children. Parents, she said, need to give children space to share and express what they are experiencing without feeling judged.

“Our task as parents is to keep accompanying them. We must be good listeners. We should not judge them when they make mistakes. We must continue to be a good confidant — the best one for our children,” she concluded.
