Chinese premium electric vehicle brand Xpeng has strengthened its line-up in Indonesia, exactly one year after entering the market, by introducing the X9 Facelift and the G6 All-Wheel Drive (AWD). The two models were unveiled during the XPENG V1SION Night Indonesia 2026 event at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday (28/6/2026). The event, held in partnership with its Indonesian distributor Erajaya Active Lifestyle, served as a celebration of Xpeng’s first anniversary in the country and a launch platform for the new vehicles.

The X9 Facelift received the most significant updates. The premium electric MPV now adopts the Starship Design Language 2.0, achieving a drag coefficient of just 0.236 Cd. Efficiency is further enhanced by an Active Grille Shutter that opens and closes automatically based on cooling requirements.

Inside, the X9 Facelift offers a spacious seven-seat configuration. Comfort is elevated with Cloud-sense Seat 3.0 technology wrapped in Nappa leather, complemented by zero-gravity seats in the second row designed for a more relaxed posture on long journeys. The cabin atmosphere is enhanced by an XOpera audio system featuring 27 speakers in a 7.1.6 channel setup. Additional features include independent five-zone air conditioning and a 10.8-litre storage compartment with adjustable temperature control from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, capable of keeping food and drinks either chilled or warm during travel.

On the performance front, the X9 Facelift is built on an 800V Silicon Carbide platform with 5C fast charging technology, allowing the battery to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 12 minutes. Driving comfort and agility are improved with Rear-Wheel Steering and Dual-Chamber Air Suspension, which Xpeng claims keeps the large MPV stable at speed while making it easier to manoeuvre in urban environments. Safety is bolstered by the XPILOT driver assistance system, supported by 27 sensors, along with intelligent parking, a 360-degree transparent chassis, and nine airbags for maximum occupant protection.

Alongside the updated MPV, Xpeng also expanded its SUV range with the G6 All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant. This model provides an option for consumers seeking higher performance than the existing Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) version already sold in Indonesia.
