Xpeng Indonesia has officially marked its expansion beyond Greater Jakarta by opening its first pop-up store in Bandung. This establishment represents the starting point of the Chinese electric vehicle brand’s network expansion strategy across various major Indonesian cities throughout 2026.

The Xpeng pop-up store is located at Paskal 23 Shopping Center, specifically in the Cai Lobby. The showroom began operations on 26 February 2026 and will remain open until 27 August 2026, daily from 10:00 to 22:00 WIB. With an area of approximately 48 square metres, the location has been designed as an introduction space for Bandung residents to experience Xpeng’s premium electric vehicle line.

Bandung was selected strategically. The city is known for its active automotive community, growing middle-class population, and strong interest in technology-based products. The tech-savvy consumer profile was deemed compatible with Xpeng’s positioning as an EV brand that emphasises intelligent features and artificial intelligence-based approaches.

This expansion is conducted by Xpeng Indonesia under PT Sinar Eka Selaras Tbk (ERAL), a division of Erajaya Active Lifestyle, in collaboration with PT Istana Niaga Indah as local partner.

The pop-up store operates on a 1S (sales only) service concept. This means visitors can obtain product information directly, consult with sales teams, and complete the vehicle booking order process at the location.

During the promotional period, Xpeng is offering special programmes for consumers who complete booking orders by 20 March 2026. Buyers of the Xpeng X9 or Xpeng G6 models have the opportunity to receive one year of complimentary insurance and one year of free charging services through the official Xpeng application.

Djohan Sutanto, CEO of Erajaya Active Lifestyle, described 2026 as an important phase for network expansion. According to him, Bandung was selected as the first city outside Greater Jakarta because its automotive market growth is considered promising, particularly for technology-based vehicles.

“The presence of this pop-up store is our initial step to get closer to consumers in Bandung,” Djohan stated in his official statement.

Meanwhile, Yosua Kristanto, Director of PT Istana Niaga Indah, assessed that Xpeng possesses significant strengths in innovation and technology relevant to Bandung consumers. This collaboration is expected to expand public access to premium electric vehicles.

“Our interest in bringing Xpeng to this city stems from strong market potential and public enthusiasm for technology-based automotive products. Through this collaboration, we hope Xpeng will become increasingly recognised and accepted by Bandung residents,” Yosua stated.
