XLSmart Offers Free Google Gemini AI Access, Here's How to Get It

PT XLSmart Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSmart) has partnered with Google to provide access to the Google Gemini Plus Package for six months to prepaid customers of XL, AXIS, and Smartfren. The programme takes effect from 2 July 2026 and can be obtained by customers through the purchase of specific internet packages. XL customers can get access to Google Gemini by purchasing an internet package with a minimum active period of seven days. Meanwhile, AXIS customers can obtain the offer by purchasing an internet package via the AXISNET app starting from Rp25,000. Smartfren customers can access the programme through the mySF app by purchasing an internet package with a minimum active period of seven days. After purchasing a qualifying package, customers must activate the Google Gemini bonus through the myXL, AXISNET, or mySF app. Customers are also required to use an active Google account to access the service. Access to the Google Gemini Plus Package can be used for six months in accordance with the programme’s terms. Customers must also keep their internet package active to maintain the benefits of the offer. Chief Marketing Officer of XLSmart, Alfons Bosch Sansa, stated that the collaboration is aimed at expanding customer access to AI technology. ‘Through this collaboration with Google Gemini, XL, AXIS, and Smartfren customers can utilise AI technology to support various daily needs, from studying, working, seeking inspiration, creating content, to increasing productivity,’ he said at the XLSmart office on Tuesday (21/7/2026). The Google Gemini Plus Package provides access to a range of Google AI features, including AI models to help complete complex tasks, data analysis, image and video generation, and coding. The service is also integrated with several Google Workspace applications such as Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Drive. Users can utilise Gemini to summarise documents, draft emails, and develop presentation materials. Additionally, customers receive 400 GB of Google One storage capacity within the package. The company confirmed that this offer does not require customers to use a 5G package. Customers can utilise Google Gemini access as long as their SIM card is active, they purchase an internet package according to the criteria, and activate it through the designated app.
