XLSmart Offers Free Google Gemini AI Access, Here's How to Get It

PT XLSmart Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSmart) has partnered with Google to provide six months of access to the Google Gemini Plus package for prepaid XL, AXIS and Smartfren customers.

The programme has been effective since 2 July 2026 and can be obtained by customers through the purchase of certain internet packages.

XL customers can gain access to Google Gemini by purchasing an internet package with a minimum validity period of 7 days. Meanwhile, AXIS customers can obtain the offer by purchasing an internet package through the AXISNET app starting from Rp25,000.

Smartfren customers can access the programme through the mySF app by purchasing an internet package with a minimum validity period of seven days.

After purchasing a qualifying package, customers must activate the Google Gemini bonus via the myXL, AXISNET or mySF apps. Customers are also required to use an active Google account to access the service.

Access to the Google Gemini Plus package can be used for six months in accordance with the programme’s terms. Customers must also keep their internet package active to retain the benefits of the offer.

XLSmart Chief Marketing Officer Alfons Bosch Sansa said the collaboration is aimed at expanding customers’ access to AI technology.

“Through this collaboration with Google Gemini, XL, AXIS and SMARTFREN customers can harness AI technology to support various everyday needs, from studying and working to finding inspiration, creating content and boosting productivity,” said Alfons at the XLSmart office on Tuesday (21/7/2026).

The Google Gemini Plus package provides access to a number of Google AI features, including AI models to help complete complex tasks, data analysis, image and video creation, and coding.

The service is also integrated with several Google Workspace applications such as Gmail, Google Docs and Google Drive. Users can leverage Gemini to summarise documents, draft emails and develop presentation materials.

In addition, customers also receive up to 400 GB of Google One storage capacity as part of the package.

The company emphasised that this offer does not require customers to use a 5G package. Customers can take advantage of Google Gemini access as long as their SIM card remains active, they purchase an internet package meeting the criteria, and they carry out activation through the designated app.
