Jakarta (ANTARA) – Xiaomi YU7 GT is reportedly set to enter the Chinese market with five body colour options: Cherry Red Metallic, Volcanic Gray Metallic, Obsidian Black, Pearl White, and Titanium Metallic. In addition to exterior colours, the high-performance SUV also offers three interior options: Racing Red Luxury Sport Seats, Iris Purple Luxury Comfort Seats, and Night Flame Black Luxury Comfort Seats. Xiaomi also offers two 21-inch wheel designs for the model. According to Carnewschina on Wednesday 20 May local time, the Xiaomi YU7 GT is a high-performance SUV positioned as the most powerful version of the YU7 line and is expected to carry a higher price. The model has previously been claimed to deliver up to 990 hp, a top speed of 300 km/h, and a range of up to 705 km according to the CLTC standard. The five-seat SUV is equipped with a 288 kW (386 hp) electric motor on the front axle and a 450 kW (604 hp) electric motor on the rear axle. Xiaomi officials describe the rear motor as ‘V8s EVO’ because its peak output is claimed to be on par with a V8 engine, and it can rev up to 28,000 rpm. The power of the V8s EVO motor increases by 5.9 percent thanks to silicon carbide power modules developed in-house by Xiaomi. The motor also uses 0.15 mm-thick silicon steel laminations for the stator and rotor. This combination of technologies helps boost efficiency to up to 98.38 percent. Overall, the Xiaomi YU7 GT delivers a combined output of 738 kW or 990 hp with a top speed of 300 km/h. The electric SUV uses a 101.7 kWh ternary NMC battery pack claimed to offer a range of up to 705 km. Other features include dual-chamber air suspension, continuous damping dual-valve system, and an electronic limited-slip differential. Xiaomi says the development and tuning of the YU7 GT’s chassis was conducted by Xiaomi’s Europe-based research and development team. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said the YU7 GT is designed for today’s elite and will be marketed at a premium price. The regular YU7 is marketed in China at 253,500 yuan to 329,900 yuan (about Rp657 million to Rp856 million). China EV DataTracker data show Xiaomi shipped 9,876 YU7 crossovers in the domestic market during April 2026. Cumulatively, shipments of the model have reached 81,499 units. In comparison, Tesla sold 104,948 Model Y units in China in the same period.
