Xiaomi YU7 GT to be Launched on 21 May 2026

The Xiaomi YU7 GT is scheduled to launch in China on 21 May 2026, alongside the release of other Xiaomi products, including new smartphones and smart home devices. According to a report from CarNewsChina on Monday, display units of the Xiaomi YU7 GT have already arrived at dealerships across China ahead of the official launch.

Reports from Xiaomi Auto indicate that the YU7 GT utilises an all-wheel-drive system with dual motors. The front motor can produce 288 kW, while the rear motor delivers 450 kW, resulting in a combined power output of 990 hp. The company claims the Xiaomi YU7 GT can reach a top speed of 300 km/h.

The high-performance SUV is expected to have an electric range of up to 705 km based on the China Light-duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC). The YU7 GT adopts the Xiaomi design language previously introduced with the SU7 sedan. The front features ‘teardrop’ lights with Xiaomi’s signature hollow internal structure.

This model features a larger front splitter, a prominent rear diffuser, large brake calipers, and specific GT exterior details. The rear of the YU7 GT retains several styling elements from the SU7, including a ducktail spoiler and halo-style taillights, while also incorporating a larger blade-style rear diffuser and a GT emblem. The side profile of the YU7 GT showcases a low-drag body shape, frameless exterior mirrors, and flush electric door handles. In official vehicle previews, the YU7 GT is described as a ‘true GT’, positioned as a driver-focused SUV capable of supporting long-distance travel.
