Xiaomi unveils air conditioner claiming to cool room in 15 seconds

Chinese technology company Xiaomi has launched its latest high-capacity air conditioner, the Mijia Powerful Wind Floor-Standing Air Conditioner Ultra 3HP. Reported by GizmoChina on Saturday (30 May) local time, the product priced at 5,999 yuan (Rp15.8 million) is claimed to cool a room in 15 seconds. The new AC is a 3 HP system designed specifically for large living spaces and open-plan areas. Xiaomi has incorporated a dual-cylinder compressor with a capacity of 25.1 cc, which it claims has a displacement 19% larger than the company’s standard configuration. The device also features a dual-row pure copper evaporator and condenser, with a larger heat exchange surface area to improve cooling and heating efficiency. Xiaomi claims that when the 140Hz high-frequency mode is activated, the unit can begin cooling a room in 15 seconds and generating heat in 30 seconds. The device is designed to operate in extreme weather conditions, with a working temperature range from -35°C to 65°C. Xiaomi states the system remains stable in both freezing and heatwave conditions. As part of Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem, the Mijia Powerful Wind Ultra 3HP supports HyperOS Connect, enabling integration with various smart devices. Additionally, the unit features an AI module that adjusts temperature and airflow in real time. In terms of design, Xiaomi has adopted a minimalist appearance with a matte exterior panel, ITO touchscreen, and automatic sliding vents that close when the device is powered off. Alongside the new AC, Xiaomi has also introduced a 13-kilogram washer-dryer with electrolytic cleaning technology and HyperOS integration, as well as an instant hot water dispenser with an ice maker.
