Jakarta (ANTARA) - Xiaomi will launch its first clip-on wireless earbuds, highlighting a lightweight design and various AI-based features.

As reported by Gizmochina on Friday (15/5) local time, the earbuds weigh approximately 5.5 grams each, making them comfortable for extended use without putting pressure on the ear canal.

Xiaomi states that the device uses a titanium memory wire structure with a bio-inspired curved design to keep the earbuds stable and comfortable when worn.

In terms of design, the earbuds feature a glossy finish and transparent design elements on the sound output section. Xiaomi has also added a metallic texture to the exterior of the device.

In terms of audio, the earbuds are equipped with an 11mm driver with a metal-coated diaphragm. The device also supports the LHDC 5.0 codec and Hi-Res Audio certification to support higher quality wireless audio playback on compatible devices.

Xiaomi also pays attention to call quality by incorporating three microphones, a VPU sensor, and AI-based noise reduction technology.

In addition, there is a “reverse sound wave” technology designed to reduce sound leakage. Sound leakage is one of the drawbacks of audio devices that are designed not to cover the ears or open-ear devices.

Xiaomi also presents several AI features, such as real-time translation in up to 21 languages, voice recording, and automatic summary generation. However, some of these features may work best when used on devices from the Xiaomi ecosystem and the Xiao AI virtual assistant.

Xiaomi has not yet revealed the battery life or price of the device. The earbuds are expected to launch along with several other products, including the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro and the Xiaomi 17 Max.
