“If we look at it, it is not just the currency fluctuation, but our situation in the industry with the RAM shortage that is also one of the factors increasing prices,” said Andi.

Xiaomi has not yet been able to confirm whether it will implement price adjustments for its mobile products in Indonesia in the near future.

“We cannot yet provide certainty as to when the timing for price adjustments will be, but the core point is that at Xiaomi, we always look at how we can provide value to remain relevant here,” Andi added.

He further noted that various current industry factors could impact gadget prices in the future. Consequently, consumers are advised not to delay gadget purchases to anticipate potential price hikes resulting from the strengthening US dollar.
