Xiaomi reveals interior of Skynomad N70 Max EREV SUV
Xiaomi has revealed the interior of its latest extended-range electric SUV, the Skynomad N70 Max, which is priced at 259,900 yuan, or approximately Rp684 million.
Car News China reported on Wednesday (19/8) local time that the Skynomad N70 Max measures nearly 5 metres in length with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. The rear seats can be slid backwards to provide more legroom for passengers. When the rear seats are set to their rearmost position, passenger space reaches 1,410 mm. Meanwhile, storage space can be expanded to 2,425 litres, making it large enough to carry a significant amount of luggage.
In terms of performance, the N70 Max uses two electric motors that drive all four wheels. The system produces up to 310 kW, or around 416 horsepower, with a top speed of 190 km/h.
The vehicle is equipped with a 76 kWh battery. With this battery, the N70 Max is claimed to be able to travel up to 505 km based on CLTC testing. When battery power begins to run low, the internal combustion engine kicks in to recharge the battery, extending the total driving range to 1,461 km. Fuel consumption stands at around 6.1 litres per 100 km.
To make journeys more comfortable, the N70 Max is fitted with independent suspension at the front and rear. The vehicle also uses air suspension that helps adjust ride comfort to road conditions.
Xiaomi has also equipped the N70 Max with nine airbags as well as a reinforced body structure to protect passengers in the event of a collision. The body uses high-strength steel of up to 2,200 MPa in several areas. The door handles also feature a multi-layered safety system.
The N70 Max comes with a number of devices to support smart driving features. The vehicle uses a 4-nanometre chip and a dedicated chip for the driver assistance system with computing power of up to 700 TOPS.
The vehicle also has a LiDAR sensor at the front and a millimetre-wave radar. Both work together with Xiaomi’s HAD driver assistance system to help the vehicle read conditions around it.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi’s vehicle sales continue to show growth. The company recorded deliveries of 80,856 vehicles in the first quarter of 2026, rising to 104,199 vehicles in the second quarter. Xiaomi is targeting deliveries of 550,000 vehicles throughout 2026. Before introducing the Skynomad line, the company first marketed the SU7 and YU7 electric cars.
Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing said consumer response to the two Skynomad models has also been quite positive. The number of orders that can still be cancelled since pre-sales opened is said to have exceeded the company’s initial estimates.
