Xiaomi launches smartphones and new tablets in the Indonesian market
Jakarta — Xiaomi has officially launched a range of new products in Indonesia on Tuesday (3/3) in Jakarta. The launch includes flagship smartphones with professional-grade camera quality, high-performance tablets, and a number of wearable devices featuring the latest technology innovations.
The latest flagship smartphone series, the Xiaomi 17 Series, developed in collaboration with legendary camera maker Leica, was officially introduced in Indonesia and will go on sale from 7 March. The phones feature sophisticated camera technology that is claimed to redefine the standard of smartphone photography in Indonesia.
‘This series perfectly unites a century of Leica optics heritage with Xiaomi’s most advanced mobile technology innovations. We believe we are living in an era of mobile imagery, where technology can transform professional photography into an experience that is more effortless and inclusive for more people,’ said Andi Renreng, Xiaomi Indonesia Marketing Director, in the official statement.
The series comes in two options, priced at IDR 14.999 million to 15.999 million for the Xiaomi 17, and IDR 19.999 million to 22.999 million for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
In addition to phones, Xiaomi also released the new Xiaomi Pad 8 Series tablets, available in two variants: regular and Pro. The tablet is claimed to deliver high performance thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor for the top variant and a 9,200 mAh battery for long life. The device features a compact design weighing only 485 grams and 5.75 mm thick. The tablets are marketed at IDR 7.499 million to 11.499 million, including accessories such as a keyboard and a digital pen (stylus).
On the same occasion, Xiaomi also launched a number of other AIoT ecosystem products, including a smart watch, power bank, item tracker, and true wireless stereo (TWS). These four products are designed with reliable performance, premium design, and seamless inter-device connectivity to facilitate daily activities for users.
