Xiaomi Confirms Redmi Book 16 2027 Will Include a Numeric Keypad
Jakarta (ANTARA) — Chinese technology company Xiaomi has confirmed an update to its affordable laptop range: the 2027 edition of the Redmi Book 16 will come with a numeric keypad as standard.
According to a report by Gizmochina on Sunday, Xiaomi Product Marketing Director Ma Zhiyu confirmed on Weibo that the 16-inch laptop has undergone a design overhaul. The dedicated numeric keys are intended to meet users’ requests and support everyday work productivity.
Alongside the keyboard layout changes, the Redmi Book 16 2027 is reported to switch to removable DDR5 RAM, replacing the soldered memory used in the previous generation.
The device is expected to be powered by Intel’s latest-generation processor, codenamed Wildcat Lake, including an Intel Core 5 320 variant.
Alongside the 16-inch model, Xiaomi is preparing a Redmi Book 14 with a 2.8K-resolution display. The model will retain a full range of connectivity options, including two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, an HDMI port and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The entire new Redmi Book range will include Super AI 2.0, designed to support cross-device collaboration and AI-based productivity assistance.
Xiaomi is scheduled to officially launch the 2027 Redmi Book laptop range in China on Tuesday, 27 October, when it will announce the full specifications and retail prices.
