Xiaomi Believed to be Preparing Competitor to Huawei's Wide Foldable Pura X Max
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Foldable smartphones featuring a wider screen aspect ratio are becoming a developing trend among manufacturers, and Xiaomi is now rumoured to be joining this movement.
According to a report from Huawei Central on Saturday (6/6), Xiaomi is planning to follow in the footsteps of Huawei, which has already released wide-screen foldable phones such as the Punctual X Max. Previously, Apple, Samsung, and Honor have also been highlighted as manufacturers planning to release wide-screen foldable devices.
The report suggests these phones are designed for ease of use, incorporating various advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. Xiaomi may integrate improved sidebars into the device to provide several interactive AI features.
Since the launch of the Pura X, wide foldable phones have become a hot topic in the consumer market. Following Huawei’s creation of such devices, numerous rumours have emerged from other manufacturers, such as Apple, working on similar devices with ultra-wide screen panels.
This design not only assists in multitasking but also offers a 2-in-1 experience, allowing users to use the device as either a smartphone or a tablet. Because the device is foldable, users do not need to worry about the width, as it remains pocketable. Given that Xiaomi is preparing a similar device, the innovations that Xiaomi will bring with this rumoured foldable phone are highly anticipated.
