Xiaomi 18 Series Leaks Reveal 7,000mAh Battery and 2K 6.4-inch Display

Xiaomi is reportedly preparing its next generation of flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 18 Series, which is rumoured to be the first in the world powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset upon its launch this coming September.

According to reports from Gizmochina, technology leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS) on the Weibo platform revealed that the Xiaomi 1or Series will feature a compact design with a screen size of approximately 6.4 inches. The device is expected to utilise a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, featuring a large-radius curved screen, thin symmetrical bezels, and a flat display design. The screen is also rumoured to offer an effective 2K resolution for sharper visuals.

Beyond display enhancements, the Xiaomi 18 Series is set to bring significant updates to its camera system, battery technology, and overall hardware. Notable upgrades include the inclusion of dual 200-megapixel cameras and the implementation of silicon-carbon-based battery technology.

Other reports suggest that the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be the largest model in the series, featuring a 6.9-inch 2K OLED display. For performance, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset and equipped with a battery capacity of up to 8,500 mAh.

Furthermore, tech leaker Smart Pikachu mentioned that Xiaomi is currently testing an AI-based desktop feature for secondary displays. This technology is expected to be available not only on the Xiaomi 18 Pro model but also on the external screens of the next-generation foldable device, currently referred to as the Xiaomi 18 Fold.
