Xiaomi 18 Pro rumoured to feature larger rear display
The Xiaomi 18 Pro is rumoured to feature a secondary rear display that is larger than its predecessor, according to recent leaks.
Citing reports from Gizmochina on Thursday (4/6), tech leaker ‘Smart Pikachu’ stated that the Xiaomi 18 Pro will be equipped with a 4-inch rear screen, which is nearly double the size of the 2.7-inch secondary display found on the Xiaomi 17 Pro.
In addition to the increased size, the rear display is expected to boast higher brightness levels, improved pixel density, larger rounded corners, and built-in privacy protection features. The 4-inch screen could provide more space for features introduced by Xiaomi in previous generations, such as live translation, teleprompter mode, and interactive widgets.
Xiaomi is also reportedly developing the rear display to function as an AI-based smart window, allowing for more dynamic and contextual interactions. Furthermore, rumours suggest the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max may feature a 200-megapixel main camera alongside a 200-megapixel telephoto lens. The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to launch this coming September.
