Xi Jinping Says China to Provide 5,000 AI Training Opportunities for Developing Nations

Shanghai (ANTARA) - China will provide 5,000 artificial intelligence (AI) training and seminar opportunities for developing countries over the next five years, President Xi Jinping announced on Friday. Xi made the announcement during a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the World AI Conference 2026 and the High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance, held in Shanghai. He said China will develop international AI cooperation centres with ASEAN, the League of Arab States, the African Union, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, and BRICS. Xi added that China will help 30 countries utilise the MAZU AI-powered meteorological early warning system to protect lives and property around the world.
