Xi Jinping Offers 'China Solution' for the World
Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a strong signal regarding Beijing’s ambition to expand its influence on the global stage. In a speech commemorating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Xi asserted that his country is ready to offer Chinese ‘wisdom’, ‘solutions’, and ‘strength’ as alternatives for developing nations amidst a changing world order.
“We advocate for the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind, providing Chinese wisdom, Chinese solutions, and Chinese strength to overcome the major problems facing humanity,” said Xi, as quoted by The Associated and Press, Wednesday (1/7/2026).
According to him, China’s successful industrialisation, which took place in just a few decades, proves that his country possesses experience that can serve as a reference for developing nations.
Xi’s statement comes as Beijing’s rivalry with the United States (US) continues to intensify. China has long assessed that the international system is still dominated by the US and Western nations.
Nevertheless, Xi emphasised that Beijing does not wish to replace the existing global order, but rather to push for reforms so that the system more accurately reflects the interests of developing countries.
Xi stated that the world has now entered a new phase of turbulence and transformation, necessitating a new approach to international relations.
“The world has entered a new period of upheaval and transformation, placing humanity at a crossroads,” he remarked. He also reiterated the call for the development of a new international relationship to promote global peace and development.
The speech also reflected Beijing’s confidence following its success in maintaining economic growth while simultaneously increasing diplomatic influence across various regions.
Xi noted that China was able to achieve industrialisation within decades, whereas developed nations required centuries to reach similar levels of development.
Beyond global issues, Xi highlighted domestic agendas, including the acceleration of China’s military modernisation to reach world-class standards. He asserted that the leadership of the Communist Party must remain the primary foundation of the armed forces, amidst anti-corruption campaigns that have removed several senior generals in recent years.
Xi also reaffirmed Beijing’s target to bring Taiwan under Chinese control. This message echoed several themes previously delivered during the 100th anniversary of the CPC in 2021, while asserting that sovereignty issues and military strengthening remain top priorities of his leadership.
The speech demonstrated China’s growing confidence in playing a more dominant role in shaping the direction of global governance. Amid strategic competition with the US, Beijing continues to position itself as a representative of the interests of developing nations, offering a development model claimed to be an alternative to the system traditionally led by Western powers.
