Xi: China Ready to Deepen Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Egypt
Cairo (ANTARA) - Chinese President Xi Jinping stated on Tuesday that China is prepared to deepen its comprehensive strategic partnership with Egypt.
This statement was made by Xi in a signed article published in several Egyptian media outlets ahead of his state visit to the country. In the article, Xi encouraged China and Egypt to increase mutual trust and serve as models in continuing their bond of friendship.
Both parties must continue to support each other regarding core interests and major concerns, as well as deepen exchanges and cooperation across various levels and all sectors to ensure that the baton of friendship continues from generation to generation, Xi said.
The two nations should also strive for mutual benefits and mutually beneficial cooperation, setting a benchmark for shared development, Xi continued.
Xi also urged both sides to appreciate the beauty of each other’s civilisations and to provide an example for mutual exchange and learning between civilisations.
According to Xi, both parties need to deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, such as education, tourism, science and technology, health, sports, and archaeology.
Both sides need to strengthen the bonds of mutual understanding and closeness between the two nations, with the aim of providing new momentum for the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership and leveraging the strength of diverse civilisations to promote the development of a community with a shared future for mankind, he said.
China and Egypt must move forward side by side and become pioneers in upholding equality and justice, Xi noted.
He added that China and Egypt, as major developing nations in the Global South, must actively maintain world peace and stability and uphold international equality and justice by practising true multilateralism, strengthening multilateral coordination, and working together to realise the four global initiatives in the areas of development, security, civilisation, and governance.
