XCMG Group is expanding its vocational education system in global markets to develop skilled local workforces. The company recently launched its ‘1+3+X’ global certification system and held the Fifth XCMG Cup Construction Machinery Maintenance Skills Competition, which for the first time took place outside China in Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Indonesia. The competition brought together 150 participants from China and 62 from other countries, serving as a platform for technical skills demonstration, knowledge exchange, and industry-education collaboration. In Indonesia, XCMG inaugurated a Global Service Engineer Certification Station and a Craftsman Academy branch on 26 May 2026. The certification station focuses on competency assessment and skills certification for local service technicians, while the academy provides regular training for new and existing employees based on local operational and maintenance scenarios. In Brazil, over 80 young professionals work across XCMG’s divisions, and the company partners with educational institutions such as Instituto Federal and SENAI to combine classroom learning with practical experience. XCMG also runs an international skills development programme that sends top Brazilian technicians to China for six months of specialised training. To date, XCMG’s education and training programmes have reached more than 50 countries, trained over 3,000 skilled workers, and issued 158 international certificates.
