Wultra, a provider of post-quantum authentication and digital identity solutions for banks and fintech companies in Europe, has announced the completion of a €6.8 million Series A funding round. Following the establishment of an office in Singapore, Wultra is helping financial institutions in ASEAN countries replace legacy authentication methods with post-quantum, phishing-resistant technology to enhance security and user experience. The investment round was backed by lead investor Seventure Partners, ARIADNEXT founders Marc Norlain and Guillaume Despagne, and existing investors J&T Ventures and Elevator Ventures.

The funding round affirms strong investor confidence in Wultra’s vision. The proceeds will be used to enhance Wultra’s digital identity platform, accelerate the company’s next growth phase, and support its expansion into the Middle East and the United States. The funding will also support team growth, enabling the company to focus more on large-scale strategic customers and support its long-term strategic objectives.

This investment comes as companies worldwide modernise their digital identity systems to address AI-enabled identity fraud, including deepfakes. At the same time, they are accelerating the shift to post-quantum security following the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) publication of post-quantum cryptography standards and relentless industry-wide efforts to meet transition deadlines set by governments and industry bodies. As more governments, regulators, and financial institutions plan for long-term cryptographic resilience, demand for practical, quantum-ready authentication and digital identity solutions continues to rise.

The funding follows a year of strong performance and strategic expansion. In August 2025, Wultra was named the only Sample Vendor in the Post-Quantum Authentication category in the Gartner Hype Cycle for Digital Identity 2025, reinforcing earlier recognition of Wultra as a pioneer in this new category. In 2025, Wultra further expanded its global footprint by opening an office in Singapore, one of Asia’s leading fintech hubs, to meet growing demand for modern digital identity solutions in the ASEAN region.

Petr Dvorak, Founder and CEO of Wultra, said: ‘The past year has been an incredibly dynamic period for Wultra. We have developed our product portfolio beyond authentication to encompass a broader digital identity suite, from onboarding and identity verification to user authentication, transaction authorisation, and electronic signatures. We have expanded our team by nearly 50%, opened an office in Singapore, and now serve more than 70 clients across 25 countries.’
