Jakarta – Wuling Motors is expanding its vehicle export opportunities from Indonesia to several new countries. Following the introduction of the Wuling Darion in several overseas markets, the Chinese automaker is now targeting Southeast Asia as its next destination.

“Our primary focus is naturally the Southeast Asian market, particularly countries using right-hand drive,” said Ricky in Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026.

According to him, several countries are already being explored as next export destinations. These include Malaysia and Singapore, which are valued for their potential market for electrified vehicles.

“Some that we are currently exploring include Malaysia, and then Singapore,” he stated.

Additionally, Wuling also sees opportunities in several South Pacific region countries. Previously, Wuling had brought the Darion to the Hong Kong and Brunei Darussalam markets as part of its global expansion strategy.

The model is produced at Wuling’s factory in Cikarang, West Java, which serves as one of the company’s production bases to meet both domestic market needs and export requirements.

Ricky added that Wuling’s vehicle export activities from Indonesia have actually been conducted for several years. To date, the total units shipped to various countries have exceeded 8,000 units.
