Wuling Responds to Surabaya Case Causing Consumer Losses
A case involving Wuling vehicle purchase transactions in Surabaya that disadvantaged consumers has caused a stir on social media. Wuling Motors has now broken its silence regarding the issue.
In a statement on its official website, Wuling Motors apologised for the losses and inconvenience caused to consumers. The company discovered violations of standard operating procedures (SOP) by certain sales personnel in this case.
“Based on the results of our investigation, violations of standard operating procedures (SOP) were found to have been committed by certain sales personnel during the transaction process. Wuling Motors emphasises that the company does not tolerate any form of action that contradicts company procedures or that may harm consumers,” stated Wulng Motors, as reported on Saturday (5/9/2026).
Wuling Motors also mentioned that it will take action and corrective measures regarding the relevant dealership. Additionally, an evaluation will be conducted to ensure that the service process runs in accordance with regulations.
Wuling Motors promised that consumers can receive their rights when transacting within the official dealer network.
“We are also committed to ensuring that every consumer receives their rights when transacting across the entire Wuling Motors official dealer network, in accordance with applicable standards,” the company continued.
Wuling Motors also ensured that it will strengthen supervision regarding the implementation of SOPs within its official dealer network. It is hoped that this step can maintain service quality and prevent similar incidents in the future.
