Jakarta (ANTARA) - Wuling Motors has introduced the Eksion EV as a seven-passenger electric SUV, specifically launched to bolster its arsenal amidst the currently intense competition within the Indonesian automotive industry.

Danang Wiratmoko, Product Communication Manager at Wuling Motors, stated that the Eksion EV was presented to provide new mobility options for Indonesian families requiring spacious and practical vehicles.

“The Eksion EV combines seven-passenger capacity with electric vehicle technology, so the public now has more choices in electrified vehicles that not only support family mobility needs but also provide a modern, comfortable, and environmentally friendly driving experience,” Danint said in an official statement on Friday.

He continued that the Eksion EV is equipped with a spacious cabin, a 150 kW electric motor performance, and a driving range of up to 530 kilometres based on CLTC testing.

With these features, the Wuling Eksion can meet the needs of families requiring large passenger capacity without compromising on comfort and electrification technology.

The seven-passenger configuration is supported by a flexible cabin space and a boot capacity of up to 1,788 litres, allowing owners to adjust storage space according to their travel needs.

In terms of performance, this SUV utilises a 69.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery featuring Magic Battery Pro technology. The electric motor produces 150 kW (approximately 201 hp) and a maximum torque of 310 Nm.

The combination of performance and battery capacity provides driving flexibility for families, suitable for both urban activities and intercity journeys.

However, actual driving range may be influenced by road conditions, vehicle load, driving style, and the use of air conditioning.

Meanwhile, connectivity features include Smartphone Interconnection, a 50W wireless charger, and voice commands in both Indonesian and English.

To provide the latest features, the Eksion is also equipped with Internet of Vehicle (IoV) technology, which supports vehicle connectivity functions.

Regarding safety, the Eksion EV offers an ADAS Level 2 driver assistance system with various supporting features, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

Passenger protection is supported by a high-strength steel body frame, a 360-degree camera, and a Transparent Chassis Display to assist drivers when manoeuvring in confined spaces.
