Wuling Motors is collaborating with the animated film Toy Story 5 as part of an effort to introduce electric vehicles to the public through a closer approach with families and the younger generation. The collaboration is realised through the presence of a Wuling EV thematic booth in the Toy Story 5: Ready, Set, Play! event series at Central Park Mall, Jakarta. Marketing Director of Wuling Motors Ricky Christian said the collaboration is one of the company’s ways to deliver a more interactive experience while expanding education about electric vehicles to the public. According to him, the global theme Toy Meets Tech carried in the Toy Story 5 campaign aligns with the spirit of innovation presented by Wuling through its electric vehicle line. “This collaboration is an opportunity for Wuling to be closer to the public through one of the animated films loved across generations. In line with the global theme Toy Meets Tech carried by Toy Story 5, we present Wuling EV as a representation of technological innovation packaged in a fun way and relevant to modern lifestyles,” said Ricky in his statement. He hopes Wuling’s presence in the campaign can provide an engaging experience for visitors while introducing electric vehicles to a wider public. The event, taking place at Central Park Mall from 11 June to 5 July 2026, is part of a promotional series ahead of the screening of Toy Story 5 in Indonesia. Various interactive activities are prepared to deliver an experience combining elements of entertainment, nostalgia, and technology. In the activity, Wuling presents a 25-square-metre booth in the Lobby Tribeca area. The booth is designed with a Toy Story world atmosphere featuring iconic characters such as Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie, along with various decorative elements themed around children’s games. The Wuling EV is the centre of attention in the installation. The company utilises the Toy Meets Tech concept to show how electric vehicle technology can be closer and more relevant to people’s daily lives. According to Wuling, the presence of electric vehicles amidst a concept of imaginative play becomes a symbol of the blend between technological innovation and an enjoyable experience for consumers. Currently, Wuling has a number of electric vehicle products in Indonesia, ranging from the Air ev targeting urban mobility, the BinguoEV in the hatchback segment, to the Cloud EV offering driving comfort. Additionally, the company also presents the Darion as a family MPV, the Eksion as a seven-passenger SUV, and the Mitra EV intended to support commercial and business vehicle needs. Wuling considers the approach combining technology and lifestyle as one way to broaden public acceptance of electric vehicles in Indonesia. Through various innovations and activities closer to consumers, the company hopes to encourage public understanding of the benefits of electric vehicles while supporting the acceleration of environmentally friendly vehicle adoption in the country.
