Wuling Officially Launches the Latest Generation Hongguang Mini EV
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Wuling has officially launched the Hongguang Mini EV, which has received the latest updates for the Chinese market, in order to increase sales of the vehicle from the brand in the domestic market.
CarnewsChina reported on Friday that the Hongguang Mini EV is a compact urban electric vehicle. The first generation was launched by the SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) joint venture in 2020.
Local media in China reported that this five-door vehicle comes with a more adorable design, featuring round headlights and LED strips.
This compact car has dimensions of 3268/1520/1575 mm with a wheelbase of 2,190 mm, or more precisely, this EV is 12 mm longer, 10 mm wider, and 3 mm narrower than the current model.
In December 2025, Wuling applied for sales permits for the two-door variant of the updated Mini EV city car. Its length, width, and height are 3043, 1520, and 1590 mm, respectively.
In China, sales in February 2025 were quite high, with 61,056 units sold. However, due to increasing competition, sales of this vehicle have decreased drastically, with only about 7,133 units sold in January.
