Wuling Expands Cloud EV Line with SE Variant at GIIAS 2026, Offering 360 Km Range from Rp 299 Million

TANGERANG – Wuling Motors has expanded its electric vehicle line-up by unveiling the New Cloud EV SE at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang. This new medium hatchback variant is positioned as a more accessible option compared to the regular New Cloud EV, while retaining the comfort characteristics that define the model. Sales Director of Wuling Motors, Kharismawan Awangga, stated that the New Cloud EV SE is designed to provide an electric vehicle alternative for consumers requiring urban mobility. He noted that the latest variant maintains the distinctive comfort of the Cloud EV but utilises adjusted specifications to reach a broader market segment.

The New Cloud EV SE is available in two trims, Lite and Pro. Both are equipped with a 38 kWh battery, claiming a driving range of up to 360 kilometres based on CLTC standards. Both variants also receive an update in the form of a black headliner, giving the cabin a more modern feel. In terms of performance, the vehicle relies on a 100 kW electric motor paired with MacPherson Strut front suspension and Torsion Beam rear suspension. This configuration is designed to deliver a balance between comfort and driving response, particularly for daily urban use.

For the Lite variant, Wuling has included features such as LED headlamps, a 10.1-inch control panel, an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel, a 15-watt wireless smartphone charger, automatic air conditioning, a PM2.5 air filter, keyless entry, cruise control, a rear parking camera, and smartphone connectivity. Safety features include Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Auto Vehicle Hold (AVH), a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and two airbags. Meanwhile, the Pro variant gains additional features, including LED lights with cornering lamps, Italian Style Bubble Seat upholstery, ambient lighting, a 15.6-inch control screen, electric seat adjustment for the driver and front passenger, a smart electric tailgate, a 360-degree camera, and additional side airbags, bringing the total to four airbags.

Kharismawan added, ‘We invite the public to visit the Wuling booth in Hall 9, ICE BSD City during GIIAS 2026 to see the New Cloud EV SE in person, along with Wuling’s other electrified vehicles, including the Aira ev, our newest city car. We hope the presence of the New Cloud EV SE will provide more diverse electric vehicle choices, allowing consumers to select the product that best suits their mobility needs.’ For the Indonesian market, Wuling is marketing the New Cloud EV SE Lite at Rp 299 million and the New Cloud EV SE Pro at Rp 339 million, on the road in Jakarta. The arrival of this new variant completes Wuling’s electric vehicle line-up and simultaneously intensifies competition in the increasingly fierce mid-range electric car segment in the Indonesian market.
